OstroVit Animal 8 Proteins – comprehensive source of valuable ingredients
Protein is a macromolecular chemical compound made up of amino acid residues, connected by peptide bonds. It is an ingredient that occurs in all living organisms and in the human body it constitutes about 20% of the total body weight. Protein has a variety of functions, incl. building, transport or regulation and is essential for the proper functioning of the body.
OstroVit contains whey proteins, such as whey protein concentrate, whey protein isolate or whey protein hydrolysate, as well as beef protein hydrolysate, hydrolyzed fish collagen peptides, milk buttermilk powder and milk proteins containing casein fractions and egg white powder, i.e. high-quality sources of proteins that are distinguished by good solubility and excellent assimilability in the human body.
Lactase is an enzyme responsible for the digestion of lactose, both that found in human milk and milk of animal origin. The compound catalyzes the hydrolysis of the disaccharide lactose, also called milk sugar, into two simple sugar molecules – glucose and galactose. Mammalian lactase, also called β-D-galactosidase, is an enzyme that is naturally produced in the epithelium of the small intestine and a deficiency of the compound in the body may have a number of consequences, including: contribute to the occurrence of lactose intolerance.
Digestive enzymes are substances that enable the proper course of digestive processes in the body. These are macromolecular proteins responsible for breaking down complex compounds into simpler forms. They are secreted naturally in the digestive system by the digestive glands and although each organ is responsible for a different enzyme, individual compounds complement each other, so it is important that none of them is missing in the body.
Multienzymatic DigeZyme® complex contained in OstroVit preparation includes:
α-amylase, an enzyme responsible for the breakdown of polysaccharides into simple sugars, which are then absorbed from the digestive tract.
Neutral protease – enzyme from peptidase group that participates in hydrolysis, i.e. the breakdown of proteins into peptides and amino acids.
Lactase – enzyme necessary for the digestion of milk and dairy products, which is responsible for breaking down lactose or milk sugar into glucose and galactose.
Lipase – a group of enzymes produced mainly in the pancreas that are responsible for breaking down fats, converting triglycerides into fatty acids and glycerol.
Cellulase – enzyme from hydrolase group, catalyzing bonds between glucose molecules in cellulose, resulting in the formation of glucose.
Properties of ingredients contained in OstroVit Animal 8 Proteins:
Protein contributes to the growth and maintenance of muscle mass, as well as helping to maintain healthy bones.
