Glucosamine is an organic chemical compound that is an amine derivative of glucose. In the human body, the substance is synthesized in small quantities, and the ability to produce it decreases with age. However, the compound can be delivered to the body with food – glucosamine is found in seafood, in the chitin shells of crustaceans, as well as in the form of dietary supplements. The OstroVit preparation uses glucosamine sulphate, i.e. a form of the compound that is considered the most bioavailable, which makes the ingredient stand out for better bioavailability than other forms of the substance.

Chondroitin is an organic chemical compound from the glycosaminoglycan group. It’s a mucopolysaccharide, which is made up of glucuronic acid residues and N-acetylgalactosamine.

It is a substance that in the human body is part of the intercellular matrix of the dermis and is the main component of the synovial fluid. Vitamin C, also referred to as ascorbic acid, is an organic chemical compound from the polyhydroxy alcohol group. It is a water-soluble vitamin, which as an exogenous substance must be supplied to the body from the outside. Vitamin C can be found primarily in fresh vegetables and fruits – the substance is found, among others, in black currants, strawberries, kiwi, as well as peppers, Brussels sprouts and cabbage.

Vitamin D3, also known as cholecalciferol, is a steroidal organic chemical compound that is included in the group of fat-soluble vitamins. It is a substance that is delivered to the body with food (it can be found, among others, in oily marine fish), as well as by skin synthesis. It is stored primarily in adipose tissue and liver.

Suggested usage
